International Symposium on Persistent Toxic Substances, PTS 2026, Longyearbyen, Svalbard, 2–4 November 2026

Breaking News!

The International Symposium on Toxic Substances (PTS 2026) will be held in Longyearbyen, Svalbard, from 2–4 November 2026.
Venue: Funken Lodge, Vei 212-4 (formerly Vei 10), a 10-minute walk from the town centre and 20 min bus from the airport.

We are delighted to announce that PTS 2026 will take place as originally planned, now in the spectacular Arctic setting of Longyearbyen, Svalbard.

Longyearbyen is the world's northernmost town with a permanent civilian population and offers a unique opportunity to experience authentic Arctic life in one of the most extraordinary locations on Earth. Despite its remote location, Longyearbyen is easily accessible, with daily flights connecting the town to mainland Norway via OSLO (and sometimes via Tromsø). See the GOTO LONGYEARBYEN WEBPAGE for details. For this PTS 2026-conference we recommend arrival flight on Sunday 1st November and return flight on 5th November 2026.
